It's hard to know where to start when describing this property because there is so much on offer. By the time you finish reading this you may think it's not possible that a property could be this good and you would be kind of right because there is nothing like it anywhere on the Coast.
Acreage on the water usually precedes something like " but if you leave early you will get to town before lunch" but from 563 Petrie Creek Rd you will be in the Maroochydore CBD in about 10 minutes and you have the option of the scenic route along the river driving down Bradman Ave or the scenic route on the river down Petrie Creek. Either way you are drinking your morning cappuccino in Cotton Tree before the engine has properly warmed up.
I drive past this property several times a week and admit it has never stood out but what appears to be an understated home from the road opens up into this almost magical playground the moment you enter the back yard on the northern side of the property.
Actually heading straight to the back yard would be like going to a fine restaurant and skipping the entrée' and main meal and starting with dessert.
So first the house, when you enter through the front door you are in the downstairs area which has two beautifully fitted out bedrooms that have a real beach/coast style about them. There is some real quality craftsmanship featured in some of the fittings with solid timber doors, quality tapware and an outdoor bathroom that has been tastefully designed giving a genuine sense of privacy.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with ensuite at one end of the house and a more formal lounge at the other end with the kitchen/family area thoughtfully located in the middle flowing perfectly out onto the back deck. This whole area has been beautifully renovated and has a brand new look about it however the freshly polished timber floors and somewhat quirky design features keep it warm and relaxed.
From the back deck you have an over view of the chef's best dish, the back yard, and it is TRULY world class.
You look directly over the pool and BBQ area and to the side is a well located pool side games area. To the left there is a fenced area where smaller children can play under the shade of the trees and you won't be worrying where they are. It is however impossible for your eyes not to be drawn down the path to the table and chairs with an assortment of toys at the bottom of the garden. You glance briefly to your right as you notice how impressive the shed is but you know you are sitting on one of the most pleasant back decks you have ever experienced and yet somehow you are magically transported through the trees and find yourself sitting on your own private jetty with a beer in one hand and a fishing rod in the other.
As if this wasn't enough to make you think you had died and gone to heaven, when you get to the bottom of the garden and look around you see you have your own boat ramp with electrical winch and there's a hose and one of your kids walks up and says "Dad can I wash the boat for you?" Well if that is what you are seeing you've obviously been sitting there in the hot sun too long and it's time to get back to reality and give either Barb or myself a call and organize an inspection because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to live the dream and you will be kicking yourself if you miss out.
