Henry van Dyke
Renovated and ready to go, 34 Evelyn Owen is a superb property with plenty to offer. Repainted throughout, new block-out blinds and built-in display cabinets make this a must-see property.
This is a beautifully presented four-bedroom residence that includes an ensuite, formal living and dining, separate family room and sun room on a rare 800 sq/m block.
The kitchen has been completely renovated with CeasarStone benches, gas cook top, electric oven and dishwasher.
The master bedroom includes an ensuite, while all the bedrooms include built-in robes.
Ducted gas heating, evaporative cooling, gas hot water and a double lock-up garage are also included. There is also a separate workshop with internal access at the rear of the garage.
Keep in mind, the ducted gas heating and evaporative cooling are still under warranty.
Situated in a quiet loop street, the home also provides side access and plenty of off-street parking; theres no problem parking your caravan, boat or trailer in this yard.
Close to shops, Dunlop & Charnwood Woolworths are within 2km and Fraser Primary School is four kilometres up the road.
Whats in the name?
In keeping with Dunlops theme of inventors, inventions and artists, Evelyn Ernest Owen was the inventor of the Owen gun; born in Wollongong, NSW and educated at Wollongong High School, later entering industries associated with the building trade.
In the late 1930s, he perfected a sub-machine gun which was patented in 1941 and was manufactured in large quantities for the Australian army; he enlisted in the AIF during the war, but was withdrawn to assist in supervising the production of the Owen gun; the Owen gun was simple, sturdy and cheap to produce and proved a very valuable weapon under all conditions.
